Welcome to the Summer Reading Club
People are invited to participate in the summer reading club at the Center des Grands-Vents library, 65 Ridge Rd, St. John's, NL A1B 4P5.
- Every Tuesday from 2 p.m.
- First meeting on Tuesday August 2 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
How it works :
- Each person will leave with a previously selected book.
- Every Tuesday, each person will have the opportunity to discuss the selected book.
Note: This activity is free, but you cannot borrow a book if you are not a member of the ACFSJ or if your membership is not up to date.

Nowadays, many people no longer read for pleasure. There are many reasons for this. Some people think reading takes way too much time and effort. Others may never have enjoyed reading at school and can't imagine doing it for fun. Some people think they have never been in an environment that cultivated their love of reading. However, reading can help improve your experience of life and there are ways to make it more enjoyable, whether by doing it frequently or just for school or homework. As the writing George RR Martin, the author of the Game of Thrones series: “a reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, a man who does not read lives only one”.
