The OQLF's linguistic assistance bank (BDL) offers clear answers to the most frequently asked questions about spelling, grammar, syntax, punctuation, vocabulary, typography, acronyms, abbreviations and symbols, proper names, pronunciation, writing and communication. This bank deals with general language questions; the BDL is thus distinguished from Grand Dictionnaire Terminologique (GDT), whose purpose is the definition and French translation of thousands of technical and scientific terms.
