As with teachers, in order to best respond to the specific needs of each child, and with the main objectives of contributing to the academic success of these children and helping parents on a daily basis.
A suitable environment…
Children who will follow the homework help program will be in a separate location from where the others will be (who do not have homework or who have already completed it), in order to be able to stay focused.
A service designed for families in the community…
We are fully aware that in some of the families attending our schools, none of the parents are fortunate enough to have French as their first language. Therefore, it becomes difficult for these parents to keep pace with their children in their learning. The homework help service is there for everyone to help your children but also free up parent-child time for our families.
Aware of the needs, for several years the ACFSJ has strived to offer extracurricular activities to children who use after-school services. These were varied, and were for example: fencing, basketball, handball, soccer, drawings & painting, sculpture, puppets, chess, reading in the library, etc..
The activities proposed will be of the following 3 themes:
Arts
Physical and sporting activity
Social activity
The ACFSJ is already the manager and priority user of shared and community spaces outside school hours in the CSCGV, this allows us easy access, among others, to the library, theater and gymnasium.
THE ACFSJ, A STABLE AND RECOGNIZED ORGANIZATION
* The ACSFJ has existed since 1973, and has largely proven its sustainability and stability
* The ACFSJ has managed the CSCGV since 2005.
* The ACFSJ has stable employees present in the facilities, who will monitor the quality of services.
* The ACFSJ already offers a range of activities for its school and community clientele, so it has a list of suppliers and partners.
* The ACFSJ already offers a registration and payment management system, CRM.
* Starting in June, the ACFSJ will offer a volunteer management system that will allow anyone wanting to get involved with young people to do so easily, while guaranteeing the necessary security for our families.
A WIDE RANGE OF SCHEDULES
With coverage from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the ACFSJ ensures that the needs of families in its community are covered.
A COST FOR FAMILIES
The target of this program is to offer a unitary and affordable rate for families.
Of course several parameters can influence the registration process. However, the 2022-2023 target is 11$/day.
The registration platform is under construction!!! This will be launched at the end of August so that the service can begin with the start of the school year.
