Canadian Film Day celebrates its 11th anniversary on April 17, 2024
Jean-Michel (Girard), archivist, no longer recognizes the world in which he lives. Feeling like society has distanced itself from him, he is dismayed when the seemingly safe confines of his retirement home become the site of a protest about a culture clash of generational values. As the protest turns into a media sensation, he decides to get involved in the conflict – with hilarious results.JDC
The character played by Marie-Mai, a young woman who visits every week a disenchanted septuagenarian in need of affection (Rémy Girard), is shrouded in a golden light, like the Mary Magdalene in a painting by Georges de la Round. The faces of young Aboriginal people light up around a lacrosse field in Kanesatake. The rollers of two house painters come together as they erase the last traces of a piece of history.

Canadian Film Day (CCD)
Canadian Film Day (CCD), now in its ninth edition, has established itself as the largest annual celebration of Canadian culture. It's about giving Canadians the opportunity to come together (in person or virtually) and celebrate the incredible achievements of our country's filmmakers. Every year, hundreds of screenings take place on every platform imaginable and, normally, in every location imaginable.
