WIND FESTIVAL

ACFSJ, IN COLLABORATION WITH COMPAS IMMIGRATION, PRESENTS THE WIND FESTIVAL FROM NOVEMBER 13 TO 29, 2025.

AUTUMN LIGHT WINTER MILDNESS

Danielle Morin
A retired teacher, she dedicated many years to the education of young children at the primary level. For the past two years, with her friend Nawal, she volunteered at the French-language schools in the North and Grands-Vents regions, where students participated in the knitted square blanket project of the "Sharing Our Cultures" program.
On November 19, she is offering a workshop to learn how to create a Tawashi, a Japanese washcloth made from used fabrics, remarkable for its ingenious folding.

Marie-Estelle Joos-Brehamet
She joined the ACFSJ team almost a year ago as a programming coordinator. Curious and a traveler at heart, she has a strong interest in art in all its forms: painting, photography, architecture and cinema, and sometimes even steps behind the camera.
She is also the featured artist in the film being screened on November 13th. During this late afternoon, she is offering a creative workshop: making candles, perfect for autumn and winter evenings.

Clare Wilcox
Clare spends her best moments turning her compost bin, removing and drying seaweed, or harvesting berries, fruits, and leaves that are found all around us, either with friends or with her dog Kipper (who also loves to eat berries).

Louis-Christophe Villeneuve
Louis-Christophe Villeneuve has been the general manager of ACFSJ since July 2022.
Outside of his work, this nature lover maintains a large garden with his family. This Monday, November 24th, he invites you to a workshop to teach you canning and lacto-fermentation preservation techniques.

Meleny Otis
Teacher, educator, entrepreneur, and nutrition student, Méleny loves learning and sharing through cooking. She believes that cooking workshops are a valuable intergenerational learning tool, fostering not only academic skills but also essential life skills, including teamwork and healthy eating habits.

Nawal Krouchan
A dynamic and indispensable member of the Francophone community, Nawal settled in Saint-Jean five years ago, after several years in Montreal where she worked as a nurse. Always smiling and ready for new adventures, she actively participates in community life. On November 19, she joined Danielle to lead the Tawashi washcloth making workshop.
