BECOME A VOLUNTEER
The Association communautaire francophone de Saint-Jean (ACFSJ) is a non-profit organization that offers a wide variety of activities and services for all tastes and budgets. Most of our activities take place at the Centre communautaire des Grands-Vents. Our activities are inspired by and adapted to the diversity of our Francophone and Francophile community in the Saint-Jean region.
We are always looking for volunteers to help us achieve our goals through our activities and programs.
Volunteers can get involved in several ways:
- Activity and event: Help with distributing posters, help with preparing and setting up spaces, help and support during activities, help with tidying up.
- Regular volunteering: For example, at the library or with the Club du Samedi.
- Occasionally: During one or more activities, for example: special event, Christmas or Halloween activities.
- Be a member of the board of directors (+19 and over).
There are many ways for a person to get involved as a volunteer with the Association communautaire francophone de Saint-Jean (ACFSJ) and contribute to the influence of our community.

Volunteering for our young people is encouraged, it allows them to gain professional experience, get involved in their community, better understand it and actively contribute to its influence! (see the Young Volunteer Guide for more information)
Definition: The volunteer is also someone who in return seeks the satisfaction of being useful, of succeeding and of having fun with others. For the community, society and the people who benefit from the volunteer's services, volunteers are "neighbors", "friends". Generally speaking, volunteers are engaged citizens.
