Course Information – Beginner 1

This course, taught through a thematic approach, offers the basics of conversation in French. The emphasis will be on oral skills, listening and speaking, with an integration of reading and writing activities. The environment is pleasant, relaxed and risk-free. There are no prerequisites for this course. This course is taught in French.

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
✔️ Greet someone and say goodbye
✔️ Introduce yourself and others (family and friends)
✔️ Become familiar with everyday expressions (e.g. weather)
✔️ Say how they feel (expressions related to body parts)
✔️ Ask and answer simple questions about personal details
✔️ Describe yourself and others (including clothing, colors)
✔️ Give and ask for basic information (name, email, phone, age, nationality, profession, etc.)

This course, taught using a thematic approach, builds on the content of the Beginner 1 level. The focus will be on oral skills, listening, and speaking, with the integration of reading and writing activities. The environment is pleasant, relaxed, and safe. Beginner 1 level or similar experience of French is a prerequisite. This course is taught in French.

Course Information – Intermediate 1

This course is aimed at people with a basic knowledge of French who wish to improve their proficiency by building on their previous learning experiences. The four skills – listening, speaking, reading, and writing – are developed in a relaxed, friendly, and supportive environment.
Thanks to the small class size, participants have many opportunities for interaction and are encouraged to actively participate. Grammar is reviewed according to the needs of the group, and new concepts are taught in real-life contexts such as articles, surveys, and advertisements.
This course is ideal for those who want to strengthen their communication skills or are reaching this level for the first time. Beginner 2 level or equivalent exposure to French is required.

At the end of the course, participants will master the following points:

  • Member: 235 $
  • Non-member: 250 $
  • Book (optional): 35 $
  • Total non-member with book: 285 $

Important :
A minimum of 6 participants is required for the course to be opened.

Cancellations and refunds

Refund in case of cancellation

  • During the registration period: reimbursement of 70 % of the amount paid
  • At the end of the registration period: reimbursement of 50 % of the amount paid
  • After the second week of classes: no refund

Cancellation by the ACFSJ

  • If a course is cancelled by the ACFSJ (lack of registration or other reason): full refund

Payment terms

  • Payments must be received within 24 hours of registration
  • No registration will be valid without payment.
