Biography:
Lennie Gallant and Patricia Richard share a common passion for music. They have each enjoyed success without their respective musical careers, but have recently discovered that together they produce a unique and fresh sound, while retaining a wisdom that comes from time and lived experiences. With Sirène and Matelot, they wish to explore a composition that reflects not only their roots and their influences, but also their concerns about the current state of the world. Their new project turns out to be an exciting adventure that has opened up new musical and thematic creations for them. They chose the duo's name from the first song they wrote together, Sirène et Matelot. The song came to them very quickly and, in many ways, captured the spirit they want to represent with their music. “Mermaid and Sailor explores the desire to escape, to breathe and to connect to ourselves, to nature, to mythology and to the planet and the universe, in search of that which can inspire us to live fully” , they explain
