12th edition from November 3 to 9, 2024 - Our heritage of tomorrow
Dates: From November 3 to 9, 2024
Theme: Our heritage of tomorrow
The 12th edition highlights the heritage of the Francophone and Acadian communities. Through this theme, we invite you to explore the richness of our diversity and to engage in reflections on the challenges and successes of living together within each community.
A Multiple Heritage
Socio-cultural heritage:
Identity, origins, roots, values and cultural affiliations form the foundation of our socio-cultural heritage. We will celebrate the testimonies, know-how and customs that enrich our culture, including songs, dances, gastronomic traditions, games, myths and legends.Material heritage:
Material heritage includes common and individual assets, such as buildings, architecture, urban planning and art objects. We will reflect on the history of our countries of origin and how it shapes our identities.Environmental heritage:
Preserving our environment is crucial for future generations. This event will encourage discussions on actions and practices to implement to ensure a sustainable future.
Thoughts on Tomorrow
Through this event, we question the place of immigrants and newcomers in our communities. What contributions do they wish to make? What legacy do they wish to pass on to their children? In addition, we will examine what common Francophone heritage would we like to leave to future generations.
