Please note: Usually the ACFSJ hosts the Club des Débrouillards at the Centre des Grands-Vents for certain activities, however since the beginning of the school year and due to COVID-19 we are not yet allowed to do community activities in the building.
The members of the débrouillards meet once a month in a restaurant of their choice or at the Centre des Grands-vents to share a meal. A moment of conviviality, socialisation and sharing. It’s a good opportunity to get out, to change ideas and to discuss together in French. It’s a good opportunity to get out and about, to change your mind and to talk to each other in French.

A contribution of $5 is requested for each participant.

The ACFSJ, invites you to participate in board game sessions led by Gilles de Decelles. Once a month, the members of the débrouillards meet to play board games in order to strengthen the social link.

The Café/thé des débrouillards are meetings organised in a café, which aim to fight against isolation . In a friendly atmosphere, the débrouillards are invited to express themselves on different subjects and to exchange on their experiences and emotions linked to the texts read. We offer you a coffee or a tea, a good way to meet and exchange on the different events of the week. At anytime 50+ ACFSJ members can go on the indoor walking tour for free
The Works (17 Westerland Rd, St. John’s, NL A1B 3R7), simply present your membership card at the door (ACFSJ has provided The Works with a list of its senior members).
How it works

No registration required – Just show up with your ACFSJ membership card during opening hours.

Monday to Friday: 7am-7:30pm
Saturday & Sunday: 8:30am-6:30pm
Other information:
Parking are available at the Field House. The passage between the Aquarena and the Field House will be open.
There is no entry through the Aquarena.
You must present yourself at reception with your ACFSJ membership card.

How does it work?
If you want to use the room to do an activity, watch a film, have tea, etc., please contact us.
