Tools for Linguistic Improvement

The Grand Dictionnaire Terminologique (GDT) is a bank of terminological data composed of terms from different specialized domains.

The Banque de Dépannage Linguistique (BDL) de l’OQLF offers clear answers to frequently asked questions related to spelling, grammar, syntax, punctuation, vocabulary, typography, abbreviations and symbols, proper nouns, pronunciation, writing and communication. This bank deals with general language, and in this way differs from the Grand Dictionnaire Terminologique, which provides definitions and French translations of thousands of technical and scientific terms.
